READY+ is a youth-centred implementation model with an aim for five core achievements:
- Meaningful youth engagement, support, and leadership
- Family strengthening
- Community mobilisation for change and action
- Youth-friendly health services and access to SRH commodities
- Economic empowerment and personal development
In the first phase of the programme, the project has influenced more than 27,000 A&YPLHIV. Thus, in the second phase, it aimed to reach out to a larger community by extending READY+ countries to Angola and Zambia, and its focus to include other vulnerable groups, including sex workers, LGBTQI+ people, migrants and people using drugs.
READY+ is funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Maputo, and led by Frontline AIDS in partnership with Y+ Global, AFRICAID/Zvandiri, Coordinating Assembly of NGOs in Swaziland (CANGO), Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+), M&C Saatchi World Services, Paediatric AIDS Treatment for Africa (PATA), and the Regional Psychosocial Support Initiative (REPSSI).
