Achievements

RCF is the first international fund that specifically aims to strengthen international networks worldwideacross the world and cooperate witha cooperation of donors and civil society networks that are active in HIV. It is structured to maximise participation, empowerment, equity, transparency and accountability in our fundraising and grant- makinggrant making by mobilising and delivering core and strategic funding for regional and global networks to achieve four outcomes:

Understanding the Challenge

To tackle the challenges posed by COVID-19, we began with a comprehensive situation analysis study. This study examined the unique hurdles faced by YPLHIV and identified available resources at a national level. Armed with this knowledge, we were better equipped to address the specific needs of our community.

Resource Hub Map

Knowledge is power, and we wanted to ensure that everyone had access to vital information. Y+ Global developed a resource hub map for nine countries, focusing on the intersection of HIV and COVID-19. This map serves as a beacon of knowledge, disseminating resources and information to empower YPLHIV.

Showcasing Initiatives

Across nine diverse countries, we've highlighted and celebrated the incredible initiatives, strategies, and efforts of local networks. These initiatives are designed to minimize the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on YPLHIV and provide essential information on the prevention and treatment of both COVID-19 and HIV.

Providing Essential Support

In times of crisis, basic essentials become even more critical. With the support of this exceptional funding, we've been able to provide YPLHIV with access to sexual and reproductive health services, as well as HIV services at healthcare facilities. We've distributed hygiene and food packs to those in need, making a tangible difference in their lives.

National Digital Campaigns

The power of awareness cannot be underestimated. Y+ Global has taken the lead in conducting national campaigns on COVID-19 and HIV prevention and treatment. These campaigns have reached all nine countries, helping to educate, inform, and promote responsible health practices.

Human Rights Advocacy

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of human rights. Y+ Global has been at the forefront of advocating for the rights of YPLHIV during this crisis. Our "Resilience for Change" initiative has produced impactful videos, infographics, and carousels, sharing the stories and struggles of YPLHIV across all nine countries on social media.
